Ted Plaseski, Registered Optician

Ted has been an optician and contact lens fitter for over 20 years and has been involved in pretty much all aspects of the optical business.

After immigrating to Canada from Macedonia, Ted worked as an optical lab tech in Toronto. It was there that he trained to surface, polish, and manufacture any and every type of lens material. Ted learned how to hand edge, tint & harden lenses, and much more. With his move to Vancouver in 1996 Ted became a Licensed Optician & Contact Lens Fitter and has worked in the optical industry since.

To this day most, if not all, the glasses at BC Eye Care are made and crafted by Ted. He also checks and approves all the glasses and contact lenses orders to ensure absolute quality. His motto is “if something is not right with your order, you can only blame one person: Me.”

Prior to BC Eye Care, he owned The Eye Opener Optical in Port Coquitlam for 11 years. Ted is fluent in various European languages and dialects, and on days that BC Eye Care is closed you can find Ted fishing for salmon and tuna off Vancouver Island.
